When the band performed this live as a tribute to Chris Cornell, Chester let out the most beautifully tragic scream I've ever heard in my entire life. It took me a long time to realize it was about the sexual abuse that Chester went through.) Points of Authority (this song carries a heavy darkness and listening to it makes you feel sick with fear. I sent this to my friend when they told me they were suicidal. The Messenger (a soft ballad that is unlike any other Linkin Park song, but it holds so much meaning and some amazing lyrics. The harmonies are stunning, as well as the unique sound that it gives.) Roads Untravelled (I love this song because I found it at a time when I needed it the most. This song could be about so many things, and yet something so simple as the band changing their sound.) What I've done (I had to do an essay about this song's music video and it gave me a whole new appreciation for it. Really shows off Chester's vocals as well as the band's capabilities) No More Sorrow (this is probably one of the heaviest songs on minutes to midnight, but it's amazing. Papercut (Papercut is just effing awesome. It sounds like a battle between someone and their own mind. Plc 4 mie hæd (remix of a place for my head, this is absolutely STUNNING. Somewhere I Belong (the lyrics are the cry of so many people, an entire generation searching for a place they belong)Ĭrawling (an intense song that shows exactly how it feels to struggle with addiction) Robot Boy (The piano is beautiful, it makes you feel a sense of freedom and joy) The Little Things Give You Away (this song is actually stunning, the vocal overlay at the end is absolutely perfect, everything about it will give you chills.
